brave new films. develops and produces fiction and documentary films and series for national and international audiences. For us, a good story is what matters. From black comedy and war drama to documentary series, we develop projects together with writers, directors and our production partners - from the initial idea to the finished film.

Producer and writer Alexander Krötsch founded brave new films. in 2013. For his work as a producer, he received the City of Munich’s Starter Film Prize and was nominated for the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award. He studied production and media management at the University of Television and Film Munich and took part in programmes including Berlinale Talents and the Documentary Campus Masterschool.
Alongside our own projects, we have made numerous short films, commercials and corporate films, as well as commissioned productions for festivals, art and opera projects. We have worked with production companies, agencies, cultural institutions and public sector clients, and delivered productions for businesses ranging from medium-sized companies to global corporations.
We understand different requirements, assemble the right teams and know how to manage budgets of any size responsibly. We are still happy to act as a service partner for long-standing partners and friends. Today, our focus is on developing and producing our own projects.

How we make films is just as important to us as the films we make.
For us, sustainability begins long before filming. It means using resources consciously and treating everyone involved, including our production partners, responsibly. Through green storytelling, this perspective also flows naturally into our project development - as part of exciting, entertaining and humorous stories.
Green filmmaking is part of our production practice. We have had the expertise in-house since 2020: through participation in the first IHK-certified training course for Green Consultants in film and television production, membership of the Federal Association of Green Film & TV Consultants Germany and regular further training.
